State Highway 24 over UPRR
San Engineering designed a bridge replacement on State Highway 24 near Buena Vista, Colorado. The Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) project incorporated numerous approaches to keep traffic disruption to a minimum. A 2-stage "slide-in" structure was designed on straddle abutments, constructed below the existing bridge, resulting in traffic disruption time of less than one week.
